Molex and Bridgelux jointly launch new LED array lampholder base technology

Molex, the world's leading provider of complete interconnect products, announces the introduction of a new LED array lampholder substrate technology with complete electrical, mechanical and optical connectivity, the industry's first technology to integrate interconnect systems and plastic substrates. The new technology developed in conjunction with Bridgelux has been integrated into Bridgelux's recently released Vero* array.

Molex's new technology shifts connectivity and ease of use from LED array substrates to a separate plastic substrate for improved thermal, optical and mechanical interconnection. This plastic substrate can be combined with an LED array package in a variety of ways to provide an array of LED array top surfaces with a variety of connection options.

These technical improvements include thermal solder tabs, a Molex Pico-EZmateTM connector, and improved mechanical attachment and optical reference features while maintaining extremely low side height. The new product's solder tab design simplifies direct soldering procedures and improves robustness compared to existing LED array packages that require soldering in aluminum or ceramic materials. The Pico-EZmate connector connector option provides a solderless electrical interface and is available for on-site service and replacement.

This new interconnect technology is expected to make future LED array products easier to integrate and more cost-effective, allowing lighting OEMs to reduce system cost of LED luminaire design, speed time to market, and increase reliability.

Jim Miller, director of sales and marketing at Bridgelux, said the new interconnect technology is an important improvement in
LED Light Source packaging, simplifying the integration of real-time systems and helping to open the era of intelligent lighting systems. Technology convergence in the field of solid-state lighting will emerge soon, as is the case in the consumer electronics arena. Convergence requires more functionality, sensors, communications and other features to be integrated into the LED lighting engine. This high-end platform technology is ideal for achieving convergence through the use of new product architectures.

3014 SMD IR LED supplier from China.

3014 SMD IR LED is used in LED infrared light guide plate and LED infrared backlight screen because of the small size of the product.

3014 IR LED

We produce and sell 3014 SMD IR LED , which is with the wavelength from 680nm-1550nm. In this category, we mainly introduce the two kinds of wavelengths: 940nm IR LED and 850nm IR LED. These two wavelengths are the most commonly used wavelengths in infrared monitoring. They all can be used to monitor products.

Then what is the difference between 940nm and 850nm?
940nm infrared LEDs are totally invisible to the naked eye, which means you can't see whether the 940nm working or not. Unless you watch it through some device(like phone's camera), which will show some purple or white color light.
The 850nm infrared LEDs have a very slight reddish when it's working, which means you can see if the 850nm LED is working.
Under the same power, radiation intensity of 850nm will be higher than the 940nm. Of course, 940nm also has its own unique advantages. It is the naked eye that is indistinguishable from work or from work, therefore, its application has been widely used in many special markets in the modern era.
We supply the 3014 940nm SMD IR LED and 3014 850nm SMD IR LED products with difference power, such as: 0.1W 940nm, 0.2w 940nm, 0.3w 940nm, 0.4w 940nm, 0.1W 850nm, 0.2w 850nm, 0.3w 850nm, 0.4w 850nm and so on.
