Idemitsu Kosei Korea OLED factory was completed and the product was officially shipped early next year.

The global OLED material manufacturer Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. announced on December 4 that its subsidiary, Optoelectronics Korea Co., Ltd., invested about 30 billion won, and the OLED material plant started construction in the Tangdong Industrial Park in Paju City, Gyeonggi Province in March. The construction of the plant will be completed by the end of September and production will begin. It is expected that the product will be officially shipped in the spring of 2013.

Idemitsu said that the new OLED plant will have an annual production capacity of about 10 tons. The products will be exported to Japan, Taiwan and Europe in addition to the Korean market.

Because South Korea's Samsung Electronics holds a high market share of small and medium-sized OLED panels, in addition to Idemitsu, the Japanese OLED materials factory has also established factories in South Korea. It is reported that the Japanese chemical plant Hodogaya Chemical Industry plans to build a new plant in South Korea in January 2013 (2013) to expand the production capacity of the luminescent material "light-emitting layer" to about 3 times, and the investment is estimated to be 5-6. Billion yen. According to reports, due to the rapid expansion of OLED material demand, Baotu Valley intends to increase shipments to Samsung Electronics and other manufacturers by expanding production capacity.
