Apple reorganized services such as cloud services to fully contend with Amazon and Google

According to foreign media reports, Apple plans to unify its own Internet service department to the same campus and bring together Siri, Maps, iCould, Apple Pay, Apple News, Apple Muisc, and some cloud service teams of the iTunes business. Better contend with Google and Amazon in cloud services and software. It is reported that the entire Internet service department will jointly relocate to Apple's existing Infinity Loop headquarters in Coopers Dino, Calif., and will be led by Apple Senior Vice President Eddy Cue.

At present, most of Apple's Internet service teams are located in other areas of Coopers Dino and the office park rented by Sunnyvale. According to sources, due to the organizational structure of each team led to the problem of asymmetric information, increased communication costs, and the resulting weaknesses in the software and development speed is too slow. Reunifying the teams in the same park will help improve collaboration efficiency and facilitate the development of service businesses. From the perspective of Apple’s current business composition, cloud services are also likely to become an important part of the company’s revenue growth. .

As the growth of the iPhone slowed, the service business became another hematopoietic machine for Apple. According to the third quarter of FY16, its service business revenue increased by nearly 20% year-on-year. According to analysts' calculations, the business will soon surpass Mac and iPad to become Apple’s second largest revenue source.
