Future TV: LG thickness 1mm OLED wallpaper TV debut

On September 17, LG Display united six TV manufacturers including LG Electronics, Skyworth, Konka, Changhong, Haier, and TPV, and four channels including Suning and Gome to host an OLED organic TV display event in Beijing. In this exhibition, many new OLED products that we have only seen in the pictures have appeared, including the current two-tiered television, wallpaper TV and so on.




The so-called wallpaper TV, in fact LG's 55-inch OLED display, its overall weight is only 1.9Kg, thickness of only about 1mm. According to reports, as long as the wall is equipped with a pair of magnets, this 55-inch wallpaper TV can be directly attached to the wall like a piece of paper. At present, we do not know whether this TV can really be brought to the market, but the relevant LGD staff said that its cost is still very high, and it will take a while to really enter the vast consumer household.



In addition to the wallpaper TV, LGD also moved the two-sided TV in the previous IFA exhibition to China. We didn’t know too much about the details of this two-sided TV at the show site, but according to previous data shows. The TV includes two sizes, with screen sizes of 111 inches and 55 inches. Of course, this double-sided TV is also still in the sample stage, LG did not disclose their specific time to market. This double-sided TV seems to be particularly suitable for commercial applications, such as shopping malls. If such a double-sided electronic advertising screen is installed in a shopping mall, consumers can see the advertisements displayed on the screen no matter what angle they look at.




In addition to these stunning OLED products, LGD today also showcased new products such as plastic OLEDs for smart watches and curved OLEDs with a curvature of 500R.

It is understood that at present, LG Electronics, Skyworth, Konka, Changhong and other TV manufacturers have successively launched the latest generation of OLED organic TVs, including LG Electronics EG9600, Skyworth S9300, Konka X90PU and other 4K OLED products have been put into the market, and Changhong's OLED products It will also be officially listed. Currently, OLED organic televisions cover 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch sizes.
