It's worth noting that over 100,000 American users have participated in the Bixby Voice beta program, submitting more than four million voice commands during the testing phase. Following the official release, Bixby will be capable of reading aloud emails and other notifications received on the phone.
Bixby is a defining feature of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S8, so the company has also incorporated a dedicated physical button to activate the assistant. Alternatively, users can simply say “Hi Bixby†to initiate it. Like other voice assistants on the market, Bixby can handle tasks such as setting alarms and sending messages.
