National Star Micro & Mini LED Research Center unveiled
On March 2nd, Guoxing Optoelectronics officially unveiled the "National Star Micro & Mini LED Research Center," marking a significant milestone in the company's journey toward technological leadership in the LED industry. The event was attended by key executives including Chairman He Yong, General Manager Wang Sen, Executive Deputy General Manager Lei Zihe, Deputy General Manager Li Cheng, and other department heads. During the ceremony, Chairman He Yong and General Manager Wang Sen jointly unveiled the center, symbolizing the company’s commitment to innovation and future growth.
The establishment of this research center reflects Guoxing Optoelectronics' strategic focus on high-tech development, large-scale production, and global market expansion. As the LED display industry moves toward higher-definition and more advanced technologies, Micro LED and Mini LED have emerged as key trends. By launching this dedicated research center, Guoxing is positioning itself at the forefront of next-generation display technology, aiming to drive innovation and secure a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving market.
This initiative also marks the first of its kind in China, highlighting the company’s pioneering role in the field. Since 2015, Guoxing has been actively investing in Mini LED and Micro LED technologies. Currently, the company has achieved notable progress: Mini LED chip technology is mature and ready for mass production, while HD Mini LED display products are in the trial phase. These products offer features such as anti-collision resistance, wide color gamut, high contrast, and superior reliability. Meanwhile, P0.5 and smaller Mini LED display technology is under development, targeting high-end applications like exhibitions, cinemas, museums, and home entertainment systems.
In addition, Guoxing is collaborating with international manufacturers on Mini LED backlighting solutions, with plans to launch the product within the year. Looking ahead, the National Star Micro & Mini LED Research Center will build upon these achievements, focusing on advancing mass production of Mini LED displays below P0.5, developing Mini LED backlight modules, and exploring flexible surface Mini LED packaging. It will also work on Micro LED chips and related technologies, aiming to create a portfolio of independently developed intellectual property. The goal is to promote the adoption and standardization of these new technologies, establishing Guoxing as a global leader in LED display packaging innovation.
