Copper nose profile

Copper nose, also known as brass nose, is a crucial component used to connect wires and cables to electrical equipment. It is typically made from T2 copper or brass, ensuring durability and good conductivity. The design of the product features a spatula-shaped round head, with screws securing the top side. At the edge, the wire or cable's copper core is stripped, and the end is then connected. There are two main types: oil-blocking and pipe-pressure type. Among these, the oil-blocking type is considered superior because it provides better resistance to air oxidation. To further prevent oxidation and blackening, a layer of tin plating is applied on the surface of the copper nose. For copper noses with a cross-sectional area larger than 10 square millimeters, tinned versions are recommended. However, for smaller sizes (less than 10 mm²), cold-pressed wire noses are usually preferred instead. Copper noses can be either tinned or non-tinned, depending on the application requirements. The standard specifications include models such as DT-10, DT-16, DT-25, DT-35, DT-50, DT-70, DT-95, DT-120, DT-150, DT-185, DT-240, DT-300, DT-400, DT-500, and DT-630. The material used is generally a purple tube, with surface treatments available in either natural copper color or tin-plated finish. Tin-plated copper terminals, such as the DT series, are an upgraded version of the original copper terminals. A thin layer of tin is applied to the surface, which enhances their conductivity and improves their resistance to corrosion. These terminals are widely used in various industries, including household appliances, electrical manufacturing, mechanical equipment factories, shipyards, power distribution cabinets, and other electrical distribution systems. With excellent electrical conductivity, safe operation, and a well-designed appearance, copper noses play a vital role in ensuring reliable connections in electrical systems. Whether for industrial use or residential applications, they are essential components that contribute to the efficiency and longevity of electrical installations.
