Wuxi's new Internet of Things has entered a fast-track for sustainable and high-quality development

Wuxi City's municipal government recently held a press conference, officially launching two key policy documents: "Several Opinions on Further Supporting the Development of a New Generation of Information Technology Industry Led by the Internet of Things" and "Policy Opinions on Further Supporting the Development of the Integrated Circuit Industry." These initiatives aim to strengthen policy support, foster the growth of smart networking and integrated circuit industries, and create a favorable environment for high-quality development, contributing to the city’s vision of becoming a strong industrial hub. Since the launch of the "13th Five-Year Plan," Wuxi has been committed to building an industrial powerhouse. Last year, the city’s regional GDP reached 1.05118 trillion yuan, marking its entry into China’s top 14-trillion-yuan GDP cities. The industrial sector has now entered a fast lane of sustainable and high-quality growth, showing promising momentum for future development. Gao Yaguang, deputy mayor of Wuxi, emphasized that with the city reaching the milestone of a trillion-yuan GDP, the focus of industrial development must shift toward intelligence, green practices, service-oriented models, and high-end manufacturing. Leveraging the strengths of IoT and integrated circuits, the city aims to drive traditional industries forward through digitalization, networking, and smart technologies, accelerating the creation of a new engine for economic growth. A recent image highlights the rapid progress of Wuxi’s Internet of Things industry, which has become a key driver of sustainable and high-quality development. As the only national demonstration zone for the Internet of Things in China, Wuxi has seen significant growth over the past eight years. With more than 2,000 IoT enterprises and over 150,000 employees, the industry’s revenue has exceeded 200 billion yuan, growing at an average annual rate of over 20%. Wuxi-based companies have successfully undertaken IoT projects across more than 30 countries and regions. The new policy on IoT development focuses on cultivating enterprises, promoting applications, and optimizing the industrial ecosystem. It includes 18 categories of industrial support measures and 25 policies, 19 of which are newly introduced. These policies aim to enhance innovation, encourage enterprise growth, and promote broader application of IoT technology. According to Wu Jianping, deputy director of the Wuxi Economic and Information Technology Committee, the updated policies are more targeted and refined, shifting from broad support to more precise, “drip irrigation” style assistance. For example, the support ratio for technology and equipment investment has increased from 10% to 15%, with the maximum funding raised from 2 million to 5 million yuan. Support for key technologies like smart sensors has also been significantly boosted. Wuxi is a national base for microelectronics and one of China’s seven major IC design industrialization zones. Last year, the city’s IC industry output reached 89.2 billion yuan, up 11% year-on-year. Major projects such as Shanghai Huahong and SK Hynix II Plants have been successfully established, marking a record-high number of large-scale projects and reserves in recent years. The second policy document on the integrated circuit industry outlines 15 key areas of support, including technological development, R&D, talent enhancement, and industrial ecology improvement. A total of 21 policies have been introduced, with 14 being new additions. Zhou Wendong, director of the Wuxi Economic and Information Technology Committee, noted that the new policies are more comprehensive, covering all critical aspects of industrial promotion. The financial support has also been significantly increased, with the maximum grant rising from 3 million to 10 million yuan—exceeding similar policies in other Chinese cities. The focus is on strengthening the integration of upstream and downstream sectors, encouraging local design and manufacturing, and supporting local enterprises in purchasing products from domestic design firms. This approach aims to address gaps in the supply chain and enhance the overall efficiency of the IC industry in Wuxi.

Three Phase UPS

Three Phase UPS systems offer higher efficiency, reliability, and scalability compared to single-phase UPS. They are commonly used in data centers, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure.

Features of the Three Phase UPS:

1. Scalability: The Three Phase UPS systems are highly scalable, allowing for easy expansion as the power requirements of the facility increase. This makes them suitable for both small and large-scale applications.

2. Redundancy: These UPS systems are equipped with redundant components, such as redundant power modules and redundant fans, to ensure uninterrupted power supply even in the event of a component failure.

3. High Efficiency: The Three Phase UPS systems are designed to operate at high efficiency levels, reducing energy consumption and minimizing operating costs. They often incorporate advanced technologies, such as double conversion topology and energy-saving modes, to achieve this.

4. Advanced Battery Management: These UPS systems come with advanced battery management features, including battery monitoring, temperature compensation, and automatic battery testing. This ensures the reliability and longevity of the battery system.

5. Remote Monitoring and Management: Many Three Phase UPS systems offer remote monitoring and management capabilities, allowing users to monitor the UPS status, perform diagnostics, and make configuration changes remotely. This improves the overall system management and reduces maintenance costs.

Performance of the Three Phase UPS:

1. Power Capacity: The Three Phase UPS systems are capable of handling high power capacities, typically ranging from a few kilowatts to several megawatts. This makes them suitable for powering critical equipment in data centers, manufacturing plants, hospitals, and other large-scale facilities.

2. Voltage Regulation: These UPS systems provide precise voltage regulation, ensuring a stable and clean power supply to the connected equipment. This helps in preventing equipment damage and data loss caused by voltage fluctuations and surges.

3. Fault Tolerance: The Three Phase UPS systems are designed with fault-tolerant features, such as redundant components and parallel operation capability. This ensures high availability and reliability of the power supply, even during maintenance or component failures.

4. Fast Switchover: In the event of a power outage or voltage disturbance, the Three Phase UPS systems provide fast switchover times, typically in milliseconds, to ensure seamless power transfer and uninterrupted operation of the connected equipment.
