simulHoc communication technology to create a new centerless self-organizing network communication system
SimulHoc is a centerless self-organizing network technology that has been developed based on the first prize-winning technology of the National Science and Technology Progress Award from Tsinghua University's DTMB national standard. It enables multi-hop, multi-level relay, same-frequency simultaneous broadcasting, and signal overlap integration. This technology achieves a fully decentralized self-organizing communication network, effectively solving issues like multi-point simulcast forwarding and signal interference in overlapping areas. Its performance meets U.S. military standards, allowing ultra-long-distance communication without relying on existing public or private networks, creating a flexible and mobile communication system.
Unlike traditional routing-based systems, SimulHoc operates at the physical layer, enabling nodes to automatically decide whether to forward signals based on received signal quality and strength. This transition from linear trunking to mesh relay significantly improves coverage and transmission distance by performing intelligent relays and multi-point signal combining.
Key technical features include:
1. **Excellent single-hop distance**: Derived from digital TV broadcasting technology, it has a very low signal-to-noise ratio threshold (1dB) and high receiving sensitivity (-128dBm), increasing communication distance by 50% at the same transmit power.
2. **No routing required for multi-level mesh relay**: Nodes can join or leave the network without affecting overall communication, ensuring excellent self-healing capabilities.
3. **Dynamic network topology**: With ultra-fast synchronization and signal processing, network topology can be established and adjusted in just 1 millisecond, supporting mobility at any speed and in any direction.
4. **Support for multi-point signal merging**: Enables simultaneous transmission without interference, forming a single frequency network with improved coverage and reliability.
5. **High security with unique encryption**: Utilizes an autonomous baseband and AES256 encryption for highly secure communication.
6. **Three-dimensional networking**: Ideal for challenging environments such as tunnels, mines, and multi-storey buildings, where wireless communication can be maintained through portable terminals without relying on wired infrastructure.
In comparison to traditional technologies, SimulHoc offers greater resilience, as no single node is critical to the network’s integrity. Unlike MESH networks that suffer from increased delay with more hops, SimulHoc maintains stable performance even with more nodes. It also eliminates the need for fixed base stations, making it ideal for large-scale, remote, or dynamic deployments.
**Applications include:**
- **Tunnel communication**: Using handheld terminals for short tunnels and piggyback base stations for longer ones.
- **Drone-based long-range communication**: Drones act as relays to extend coverage up to 110–180 km.
- **Mountain communication**: Handheld devices or base stations placed on hills enable wide-area coverage.
**Fields of use:** Internet of Things, individual soldier systems, emergency communications, drones, robots, real-time remote control, and more.
**Product: Micro Site® Self-Organizing Network Walkie-Talkie**
This device does not require any relay equipment and builds a decentralized network, offering 2–3 times the coverage of traditional walkie-talkies. It supports voice calls, location sharing, member tracking, and one-click assistance.
**Key features:**
- **Long single-hop range**: Up to 5km in urban areas.
- **Automatic 3-hop transmission**: Expands coverage in special environments.
- **Real-time location sharing**: Accurate positioning and visibility.
- **Digital noise reduction**: Clear voice even in noisy conditions.
- **Encrypted communication**: AES256 encryption ensures high security.
- **IP67 rating**: Water-resistant and durable.
- **Military-grade durability**: Meets U.S. MIL-STD-810 standards for harsh environments.
The SimulHoc technology represents a breakthrough in wireless communication, offering a reliable, secure, and flexible solution for both everyday and mission-critical applications.
