Conexant introduces a new series of audio SoC solutions

Conexant Systems introduces a new series of audio SoC solutions for embedded audio and voice applications. CX2070XSoC is aimed at the growing audio applications of multimedia IP phones, personal navigation devices, portable media players and mobile Internet devices. Other applications include MP3 player docking systems, PC speaker systems, audio headsets, and unified communications systems, supporting services such as VoIP phones, phone speakers, and audio conferencing functions. The highly integrated SoC can also be used to implement intercom and intercom doorbell applications. The new audio solution is now available in large quantities to pre-production customers.

The highly integrated CX2070XSoC has an integrated audio / voice digital signal processor (DSP), multi-bit codec, digital and analog input / output interfaces, and 2.5W per channel, stereo speaker-driven or optional Class D amplifiers with post-width modulation (PWM) and differential line outputs for external speaker system amplifiers. Subband echo cancellation: The high-performance subband echo cancellation algorithm eliminates speaker-to-microphone feedback while maintaining the natural effect of high-quality, echo-free voice calls.

Beamforming: Processing the signals captured by the array microphone to form an adjustable directional beam to improve speech intelligibility by eliminating interfering sounds and background noise. Beamforming can be used to limit the microphone pickup radius of private conversations, or to capture voice telephony applications with a 360-degree radius.

End-to-end noise reduction: Two unique dynamic noise reduction filters for input and output audio streams eliminate ambient near-end and far-end noise.

Line echo cancellation: The advanced line echo cancellation filter can eliminate cross-twisted cross echo from a full duplex two-wire hybrid network.

BrightSound: Rich parameter equalization, dynamic range compression and digital crossover algorithm, which can optimize the speaker frequency response, improve the sound loudness without clipping, and match the channel configuration speakers up to 2.5W.

3D phantom speakers: The psychoacoustic stereo expansion algorithm can change the listener's feeling by widening the output from the narrowly divided speakers, creating a sound experience closer to the scene.

3D virtual immersion: The phase virtual algorithm can reposition the sound field on psychoacoustics, creating an immersive surround effect. It can also be adjusted to create a headphone-like experience, focusing the sound on a specific audience without increasing the actual volume.
