CEVA Dynamic Speaker Management (DSM) software creates a louder and richer listening experience for customers
Smart amplifier software technology has been fully optimized for the world's lowest power audio and voice DSP. This advanced solution delivers louder, clearer, and more immersive sound for smartphones, wearables, and headphones. CEVA, a global leader in signal processing IP for smart and connected devices, recently announced that Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. has launched its Dynamic Speaker Management (DSM) software on the CEVA-TeakLite-4 ultra-low power audio/voice DSP platform. The DSM-optimized software is now available and has already been integrated into the SoCs of leading smartphone manufacturers.

Many modern devices—such as smartphones, earbuds, and wearables—face significant challenges when it comes to speaker design. As these devices become smaller, their internal speakers are shrinking, yet they must still operate within strict power limits. Traditional Class D amplifiers struggle to deliver high-quality audio under these constraints. However, DSM running on CEVA-TeakLite-4, combined with Maxim’s enhanced IV sense Class D speaker amplifier, overcomes these limitations. It offers a significantly improved audio experience—up to 2.5 times louder sound and twice the bass depth compared to conventional solutions.
