Philips pushes the new Hue motion sensor to automatically light when someone approaches

Philips' Hue Smart Lighting System has now added a new motion sensor accessory that will make the home lighting system smarter. Of course, as an accessory for the Hue series of smart bulbs, it is naturally compatible with ordinary products.

The Hue series has never had any motion sensor products before, so many users have to use third-party accessories to achieve the same effect, but sometimes compatibility problems arise, and the emergence of Hue motion sensors solves this problem.

The Hue motion sensor looks like a small white box with two AAA batteries that can be placed or hung on the wall. Although it is not a camera, it can also detect if there is anybody in the physics and activate the lighting system according to different scenarios.

If you use Philips's app, it's also very simple. You can choose which light bulbs can be used with the sensor in the app, and you can set how long the person will leave before automatically turning off. And there are many different presets available at night, evening, etc.

However, this sensor currently has some limitations in its use. For example, its detection distance is about 5 meters, and there is no sensitivity adjustment. That is to say, if a pet is raised at home, the lighting system is sometimes activated, and Philips indicates the future. The option for sensitivity adjustment will be increased.

It is reported that the Hue motion sensor is priced at 39.95 US dollars (about 265 yuan), and supports up to 12 Hue smart bulbs. It is expected to be available for sale in October.
