IGRS enters the smart grid to formulate a smart electricity standard

On December 30th, the construction of smart residential communities can effectively guide and assist users in scientifically using electricity, save electricity, and create a new life that is cost-effective, energy-saving, and environmentally-friendly. At present, the construction of the National Grid smart demonstration community has been carried out in Chongqing, Hebei, and Shanghai. Domestic well-known home appliance manufacturers such as Hisense and TCL have also taken the development and promotion of various intelligent home appliances as an important strategy for future development. As an authoritative domestic standards organization and industrial alliance, IGRS has put forward the concept of “IGRS Smart Home”.

The smart grid is one of the seven strategic emerging industries that China has focused on. The smart grid is considered to be the new commanding height for the development and transformation of the world's power system, and it is also the major trend of future power grid development. The value of resource conservation and energy efficiency improvement brought about by the use of smart electricity to achieve “peak-cutting and valley-filling” is huge. The promotion and popularization of advanced smart electricity technologies and applications is a key component of smart grid construction.

During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the State Grid will enter the "comprehensive construction phase" of the smart grid, and the amount of investment will be close to 2 trillion yuan. The IGRS Industry Alliance to seize this opportunity, the Union members IGRS Engineering Center, State Grid Information and Communication Co., Ltd., Midea Group and information equipment and white goods and other industrial chain upstream and downstream manufacturers, jointly initiated the establishment of IGRS intelligent electricity working group. The working group will use the spirit of building a strong and smart grid in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan to take advantage of the Alliance platform and accelerate the industrialization of IGRS by jointly promoting IGRS's smart electricity standards, technology development and application, and marketization.

According to relevant person in charge of IGRS, IGRS Smart Power Working Group not only perfected IGRS's smart grid power line broadband communication technology, but also established, revised and improved relevant standards for two-way interaction between smart grid and smart appliances in the smart electricity segment. Create IGRS intelligent power supply information and communication solutions, and will actively promote the development of smart appliances, energy-saving technologies and product development and promotion of upstream and downstream companies in the IGRS industry chain, especially terminal manufacturers. Next, alliance companies will work together to formulate and improve IGRS intelligent power standards, and jointly promote the popularization and promotion of IGRS green smart power labels and smart power test certification.
